Be Quick, But Don’t Hurry

Last Month, I spent a week in Chicago at the National Association of Personal Financial Advisor‘s (NAPFA’s) National Conference.  It was a great week of meeting friends and learning more about how I can better help our clients.

During one of the sessions, the Andy Hill, Author of “Be Quick, But Don’t Hurry” spoke.  Andy did a wonderful job of sharing his experience of being a basketball player under legendary coach John Wooden at UCLA.   John Wooden grew up in Indiana and went to college at Purdue University.   I grew up in Indiana and graduated from Purdue University, so the 12 Lessons in Leadership that Coach Wooden described really resonated with me.

Andy related his experience with implementing Coach Wooden’s philosophies and how they served him so well in producing hit TV shows, in business, and in life.

It is a short and easy read.  I would encourage any business owner to read the book.  I believe business owners would benefit from implementing John Wooden’s Pyramid of Success into their mindset and organization.
