It’s time to review your business retirement plan!

Were you aware that new Fee Disclosure Rules will affect your business?

In 2012, the Department of Labor will be requiring all companies to inform both plan sponsors and plan participants of all of the compensation they are receiving.  You will also have to tell your employees how much of that money is coming directly out of their accounts.

Complying with these requirements can be overwhelming. Add current regulations changes to your existing plan and you may not have all the critical information you need.

What should you look for when choosing a trusted retirement plan specialist for your business?

Choose a specialist who will ensure you have the right type of retirement plan in place, who will assist you in maximizing savings into your plan, who will act in the best interests of you and your business and who will help you meet your fiduciary duty as plan sponsor. Your money should work for you, the owner, and your employees.

How soon should you start?

It is critical for you to review your existing plan now. Improvements should be made so you have in place the best plan for you and your business prior to January 1, 2012.

Who is best to assist you?

  1. The deadline is drawing near. Come Jan 2012 all things should be ready, so a further review on your plan is a must. If you haven’t done the necessary actions, now it’s time to do so. Nice heads up article by the way!
